Why is our training needed?

With all the emphasis on the green workforce development, the residential energy efficiency industry, both in the private and the nonprofit sectors, is expanding rapidly.

Being able to access hands on training at our facility will be a tremendous advantage to workers looking for a career in the fast growing industry.

The 2009 Recovery Act provides for a large new infusion of funds into weatherization programs across the nation, meaning plenty of new insulation and air sealing jobs will be created.

The Energy Efficiency Training Center is reacting quickly to assist local agencies and businesses to develop the core competencies necessary to deliver these services on a massive new scale, and also provide support to workers who have been adversely affected by the current economic recession.
Designed for business...improve your work force job performance.  Designed for individuals...get the job skills you need for the growing home energy improvement industry.
