Papa and Mama will be performing their stripped down versions of the great songs of the 1950's and 1960's at 16  Western New York community events, and 55 professional baseball game pre games during the summer 2011. 

Announced sponsors are: 2011 WNY area community shows and select regions of the baseball tour: New Buffalo Impact, a home energy improvement contractor from Tonawanda, NY (www.newbuffaloimpact.com), Energy Efficiency Training Center, (www.energyefficiencytrainingcenter.com), and Low Price Choice, an online discount unique gift retailer for the entire family (www.lowpricechoice.com). In addition, Tim Hortons in Batavia will sponsor Batavia Muckdogs pregame Papa and Mama Root shows in Batavia, NY.

During April, Papa and Mama will perform Tuesday, April 12 from 2-3 pm at the Schoellkpf Health Center in Niagara Falls, NY; Thursday April 14, from 7-8:30 pm at the Akron/Newstead, NY community center; and Tuesday April 18 from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm at the Wilson, NY Senior Center.

The duo performs shows at community centers, senior centers, restaurants and other family friendly venues in WNY. Sixteen community performances are currently scheduled. They performed in Youngstown, NY and Newfane, NY in March, 2011.
 

In addition, Papa and Mama will be taking music road show to four different baseball leagues, and eleven different teams during the summer of 2011.

The duo will perform 55 pregame shows beginning in May and lasting through September.

Papa and Mama will play before games with the Auburn Doubledays, Batavia Muckdogs, Elmira Pioneers, Erie Seawolves, Geneva Redwings, Hornell Dodgers, Jamestown Jammers, Newark Pilots, Niagara Power, Syracuse SaltCats, and the Webster Yankees.

Papa and Mama are also scheduled at various other community events, fundraisers, and festivals throughout WNY and the northeastern United States.

Papa Root sings lead and plays an acoustic/electric guitar and harmonica. Mama adds vocal harmonies and select rhythm items. The duo occasionally expands to a trio with the addition of veteran base guitar player, RockDoc.
