Papa and Mama Root to perform at three WNY community events in May 2012

Grand Island, NY --Papa and Mama Root will be performing their two person interpretations of the great songs of the 1950's and 1960's at@three Western New York@(WNY) community events in May 2012. The duo will also present songs from their recent CD, gHome Cookinfh.

During May, Papa and Mama Root will perform Wednesday, May 2 at the Grand Island (NY) Senior Center; Thursday, May 17 at the Tonawanda (NY) Salvation Army Senior Center; and Tuesday, May 22 at the Cheektowaga (NY) Senior Center.

In April, Papa and Mama performed Tuesday, April 3 at the Lewiston (NY) Senior Center; and Thursday April 5, for the Ransomville (NY) Seniors. They will also appear Wednesday, April 11 at the Batavia (NY) Senior Center; Thursday, April 12 at the Newfane (NY) Senior Center, and Tuesday April 17 at the Wilson (NY) Senior Center.

The Papa and Mama Root performances are part of their gRockinf to the Roots" 2012 performance schedule which includes additional spring through fall WNY community events, and more than 50 professional baseball pre game shows with teams in five different leagues beginning with a Saturday, May 26 at the Eastern League Erie Seawolves.

Papa Root@sings lead and plays an acoustic/electric guitar and harmonica. Mama adds vocal harmonies and select rhythm items. More information on Papa and Mama Root can be found at: www.papaandmamaroot.com.

All Western New York Papa and Mama Root shows are being sponsored and presented by New Buffalo Impact, a home energy improvement contractor from Tonawanda, NY (www.newbuffaloimpact.com).

New Buffalo Impact is a nonprofit corporation established in 1998 to assist homeowners, both single and multi-family, to achieve energy savings in their homes.

NBI provides all the work necessary to meet the improvement specifications including insulation, air sealing, windows and doors, furnaces, air conditioners and the purchase and installation of energy efficiency appliances. NBI also works with homeowners to identify, and use, various financial assistance programs.

New Buffalo Impact is currently offering a free, or reduced cost, Comprehensive Home Energy Assessment in conjunction with Green Jobs - Green NY.

Other gRockinf to the Roots" sponsors include the Energy Efficiency Training Center, (www.energyefficiencytrainingcenter.com, and Tim Hortons in Batavia who will co-sponsor Batavia Muckdogs pregame Papa and Mama Root shows in Batavia, NY. Additional 2012 sponsors will be announced at a later date.

Papa and Mama are also scheduled at various other community events, fundraisers, and festivals and the northeastern United States.
